Ways YOU Can Help

All of us can help suffering children in some way. Can you assist Healing the Children (HTC) with a donation of time, services or charitable gift? Check out the possibilities below to see how you can help heal the children - one child at a time.

Medical Professionals & Hospitals - If you are a physician, surgeon, nurse or dentist willing to volunteer your time and skills to heal local children and those suffering children who cannot receive the necessary care in their homeland, please contact HTC. Also, kindly let us know if hospitals with which you are associated are currently accepting humanitarian referrals, or would consider doing so. [Foreign Medical Teams]

Monetary Support - All of the money HTC uses to help children is donated by individuals or organizations, and the hopes of children in need are fulfilled through this generosity. HTC can be specified when donating at your business or organization through such organizations as Combined Federal Campaign (#39008) and United Way.   You can send donations to the address below or click on MAKE A DONATION above. If your organization would like to have a presentation on Healing the Children, please contact us.

Supplies and Equipment - HTC accepts donations of supplies that are provided to under funded local programs serving children and sent with the medical mission teams abroad.

Frequent Flyer Miles - Donated miles are used to transport children to and from the U.S. when their condition can not be treated in their native country. For American Airlines, click the "Miles for Kids" link when you are on your frequent flyer page or call: 1800 421-0600. For Continental Airlines go to your OnePass page, click on "Donate Your Miles" and find Healing the Children toward the bottom of the list. Watch this location for information on more airlines.

Local Children - Please see the Hardship Relief Project for New Mexico.  Our thanks to Amelia Werner for volunteering to coordinate this project for 2007-2008.

Host and Foster Families - Families in New Mexico open their hearts and homes to children from other lands. Children need homes for four to six weeks. Some travel alone. Others with a family member.  We need families for 2008.

Administrative Needs - We need a webmaster; a Public Relations coordinator;  a newsletter production organizer; and a fundraiser for a one time yearly event in New Mexico
